And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16

Praise GOD! Thank you Jesus! I was given the wonderful Honor and Pleasure to Host a baby shower to a beloved Sister in Christ Carmen! I love you Carmen!

This is a wonderful, beautiful woman of Christ! Which I had the pleasure of meeting on the few times I’ve volunteered at New Hope Church, Durham NC. Who I am most happy to say is my very good friend!!!

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17

It was AMAZING!!!!! Thank you Carmen for allowing this wonderful opportunity to partake in Celebrating with you and others the gift you are about to literally Birth into the world 😀 .

But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all your fellow guests. Luke 14:10

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:31-33

  1. To gain Christ is immediately interpreted as being found in him, which is further interpreted as not having a righteousness of my own. To be found in him implies divine initiative, to have a God-given righteousness in contrast to the righteousness of verse 6, which served as grounds for self-confidence. As to when Paul expects this “gaining” and “being found” to take place, the answer lies with his “already but not yet” perspective (cf. vv. 10-11 that follow). The first point of reference is almost certainly future, looking to the “day of Christ” mentioned in 1:6, 10 and 2:16. This fits the future orientation both of the immediate context (vv. 11-14) and of the letter as a whole (see on 1:6). On the other hand, the participle, having . . . righteousness, is oriented toward the present. He expects to gain Christ and be found in him then precisely because he is already in him now.

    • Thanks! It’s a passion that I have and I can’t help it! It’s always a blessing when you can bless someone with your gifts and talents no matter how small or insignificant it may seem. Thanks so much!

      Hosanna in the Highest!!!
