Top 5 Fabrics of the Week! Travel

By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. Exodus 13:21

 photo Travel_zps164feafe.jpg

What comes to mind when you think of Travel? Adventure? Excitement? Different Scenery?

Well in life we all travel, whether it’s across the world or across the living room. We all have traveled in our lives.

But we also travel through time. We may not be able to go back to our past but we are all going towards our future. Whether it’s a transition to a new Job or bringing home a new family member. I believe these are all instances of travel, of moving forward.

Why can’t we think and accept that every moment is a special moment, a moment of adventure and excitement? Who’s to know what the future holds and why can’t we think positively towards it and see it as an adventure?

 photo bikes_zpsadfde279.jpg

One of the reasons why it took Moses and his people 40 years of travel to the promised land, is because they had a negative perspective of where they were moving towards. Although GOD was prominent in their life and they had seen great miracles, such as the parting of the sea, the physical guidance of the Lord, manna raining down from heaven. They were carrying luggage that prevented them from entering the promised land such as Doubt, Fear, & ungratefulness. (Read the book of Exodus)

I’ve picked these fabrics because they are so cute!!!

I just wanted to bring a reminder that GOD maybe extremely prominent in your life, guiding your steps and supplying your needs. But if you’re not able to see past your circumstances and count your blessings than you missed the opportunity to travel in style. To travel with faith and trust in GOD. I believe it’s a great blessing to have unconditional Love, Faith, and Trust towards GOD. Good things always happen. Expect Good things, Expect God’s favor. Because that’s the reason why Jesus Died for you.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. (-Jesus) John 10:10

 photo bags_zps42a849fb.jpg

I’d say look at life as an adventurer you’re a time traveler! The Creator of the Universe is directing your steps and He is truly in your life you just have to open your heart and Open your Mind. Travel in Style! Let go of the baggage that’s weighing you down.

In every story, the Hero always goes through ups and down, but he/she keeps his mind on the prize of where she/he’s going. He/She has faith that he will succeed. Where are you going? What are your dreams and aspirations? What ever goal you are moving towards that’s your Adventure, that’s where you’re traveling to.

And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3

Hosanna in the Highest!!!

For His Love & Glory,

What’s in the Bag! 37 weeks! What I’ve learned so far…

My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. Proverbs 3:1-2

 photo DSCF1268_zps012fe270.jpg

As I sit here, well into my third trimester, I can’t help but feel a peace that I haven’t felt in so long. Or so it feels like forever. I love to bask in this peace because it’s one of those special times. I’ve learned so much in these last 8 months and I’ve grown as an individual. I believe God grants us each opportunities but many of us are so engulfed in what we see that we can’t see the unseen. The moments of quiet, the moments of peace, the moments of spiritual excitement and enlightenment.

 photo DSCF1267_zps55a97fed.jpg

I’ve learned that FAITH is a big deal. That it’s first in the spiritual that you receive from God His blessings and then it manifests itself in the physical. Think about it. Everything has first started as an idea, a vision a feeling and then has been built upon. Those shoes you’re wearing that shirt you rock, all came from a thought. A thought so strong that it manifested a feeling a feeling so strong it brought it to the physical.

 photo DSCF1270_zps2b4507e6.jpg

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

LOVE is the greatest driving force you can ever come across. It puts everything together and is so AWESOME and Amazing.

I’ve learned although we may go through a transition in our lives its up to us to recognize the opportunities. To distinguish the Blessings from the rest.

I’ve learned everything is a Blessing in disguise.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

 photo DSCF1269_zps5f121058.jpg
Lately… I’ve been taking everything in. From the comments and advice of individuals to the quiet times I have with GOD.

Cravings…More like wanting to step out of the house and stay at a coffee shop all day. Not really food cravings.

Pain?  YES! My lower back, the right side of my lower back, the Braxton Hicks, my Right hip. Yes all this And Although I did vent just last night, I understand that all this is preparing me for my baby boy. All truly worth it! Hallelujah! Thank you LORD that I get to go through this!

What they say? Are you going to have more children? How about right after this one? Why not? (This question is usually asked by woman who have a child but didn’t have pregnancies back to back. I wonder why????)

Feeling? At Peace.

Hosanna in the Highest!!!

For His Love & Glory,

One Pocketbook at a Time….My Baby Bag!

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:4

 photo DSCF1308_zps13d1454c.jpg

As I was constructing this baby bag for moi, I couldn’t help but also reflect on every bag I’ve made since this point. Each bag has it’s own personality and that’s another reason why their own story is attached to it. Because with each bag, miracles happen. With each bag I go through trials and tribulations. With each bag I have to face my fears and doubts.

 photo DSCF1305_zpsc9a908eb.jpg

With this bag in particular I came to a point that I’ve come to with many of my creations. Why am I doing this? This is so hard! It Hurts! Seriously I get stabbed by needles at least 20 times each session more or less. I bleed with each bag. Yes those pins are no joke!

I suffer with each bag and I have to work tremendously hard with each bag.

 photo DSCF1286_zps28dc9db0.jpg

But you know what keeps me going? Do you know what fuels me? Jesus, knowing if I get through, what ever challenge I’m facing, whether it’s the piecing or the zipper or even the fit, I know, by the grace of God, it will look AMAZING! It will Glorify HIM.

I have faith.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2:26

And I guess that’s why it may say in scripture to be patient, to rejoice during trials and tribulations because the truth is, your Blessing is just around the corner. Don’t give up!

Because once those thoughts come to my mind of doubt and questioning my love for this, that’s when I’m almost done, that’s when much of the hard work is done but It has to come together and that coming together is what hurts the most.

It’s only fitting that these thoughts came to me with this bag, because this is my Diaper bag, my Hospital bag and my travel bag it’s an awesome size! I say that it’s fitting because the greatest pain that I will face in being pregnant is right before I receive my miracle. Right before the world is blessed with my baby boy!

A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. John 16:21

At the end when everything is done and I push myself…the joy of what I see, all done and finished, is unsurpassed.

 photo DSCF1341_zps2d431416.jpg

To the Readers of this wonderful Diaper/Baby/Hospital bag:

I’d just like to say. Yes life is going to throw you some curve balls. You’re going to ask in the midst of your troubles “Lord where is the Good in this? I can’t see it” ( I asked that question my self after trying several times to get the right fit of the zipper! Sorry I just had to vent 😀 ) But the truth is your blessing is just around the corner Your, recovery is at hand.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1 Peter 1:3

Until Next time! Ciao!

For His Love & Glory,

Top 5 Fab Fabrics of the Week! Felt!

Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use? Romans 9:21

My top 5 fabrics of the week is felt! Industrial felt

pliable felt…

wool felt or felted wool 😀

 photo needlefelt_zpsf06d8c8b.jpg

needle felt

 photo Feltbatting_zps63630291.jpg

wool felt batting ohhhh ahhhh….

I love felt! It’s such an interesting fabric and you can do so much with it!!!! It’s crazy.

Felt reminds me of the potters touch. It reminds me of how God knits us together in our mother’s wombs. That’s another reason why I love GOD why I Look to Jesus because He’s the one who is knitting together everything in my life including my baby boy! One thing about felt is that you can manipulate it’s fibers with a sharp ribbed needle and create what ever you can imagine! There are some great artisans over on Etsy that do a fantastic Job. 1 shop that I admire is: FforFelt

That’s what God does with us, he molds us. Sometimes we go through situations and yea, it may hurt but it’s part of the process.

You see, I can worry and I can think this or that, but the truth is…GOD has the final say. The truth is, I can either depend on my circumstances and what it may look like. Or, I can trust GOD and know He’s doing something amazing. The Artist is at work!

I believe we have to be able to be teachable, to be able to learn no matter what age we are and no matter what vessel it may come from. I like what this verse says…

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, Philippians 2:3.

I don’t care how old you are or even how young you are, what walk of life you are coming from or not coming from, you can learn from just about anyone. No one knows everything and everyone knows a bit of something.

God has made us each different, each unique and each special. That’s the beauty of life!

As you go on into the week be inspired by those around you. I like to always remember, that “wrong” someone may have done to me, I’ve done the same wrong or something similar without knowing it. Sometimes we are to tough with those that hurt us, we may think “how dare they” or “the nerve” but that’s just our pride, we have to remember, ‘they know not what they do.” Let’s have mercy so we may also receive mercy. Amen!

But if you’re perfect, Sorry disregard. 😛

Until Next time!! Ciao!

Video of the Day: The girl who silenced the world for 5 minutes

Hosanna in the Highest!!!

For His Love & Glory,

36 weeks!

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, Philippians 3:13

 photo DSCF1264_zps4591b23d.jpg

WOW! 36 weeks is no joke, and I’m definitely feeling uncomfortable. But Glory be to God, I’m thankful! Indeed. These next few weeks I have noticed are going to be a time of perseverance. Help me Jesus.

I hear a many times, from other mothers that I should take advantage of this time and sleep and rest. I feel like, with all that’s going on I need to take advantage of this time and get done what needs getting done! To push my self a bit because I want to enjoy the time with my baby boy a bit uninterrupted, even if I’m exhausted I know that my full attention will be on him!

I’ve noticed in life many people are going to come and tell you what they think you should do and what they believe it’d be best for you and usually this is in every area of your life. And although I respect and love these people I’ve learned you need to listen to that still small voice. You know, your Gut. You need to listen inside of yourself and do what you know you must do.

In life, people sometimes just want to see you a certain way and when you start changing and growing into who YOU want to become, who GOD made you to be, sometimes it’s hard for them to handle.

NOTE: Stop looking at whats behind you, stop looking at your past & stop looking towards other people to confirm where you need to go or what to do. In the end you will live with your decisions NOT THEM. So know you have the capacity to make the tough decisions! You have the capacity to do what you’re meant to do, that’s why you’re where you’re at, not them.

 photo DSCF1265_zpsab5e4a35.jpg

Lately...It’s been difficult sleeping, it’s not the waking up and going to the bathroom, it’s the having to sit up because it’s difficult to breath when I lay down for a while 😦  God give me the Grace!

Cravings? Sometimes, certain foods, Note to self: STAY AWAY FROM POPCORN!

Pain? Yes! Especially at night, feels like I got a 24/7 belly ache 😦 . But thank you Jesus I know my baby boy is going to be Healthy!!! In Jesus name!

What they say? “I thought you’d have your baby by now!” Nope September 15

Feeling? Unfortunately tired. But I’m asking God each day to give me the strength to accomplish all that it is I need to accomplish!

 photo DSCF1263_zps1495acba.jpg

Comparison is the thief of Joy, We all have our journey to make. And just like in pregnancy different moms go through different things, Some have it easier than others Some have it harder. Some give birth sooner, some later. But all in all, all of them know that their bundle of Joy is coming and they each prepare their own way.
