Bible Study: Healing 3 of 3

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, Hebrews 10:19

Last week I was going over the last of the Lord’s Prayer.

And this week I will close with this.

Jesus Christ is the way.

Jesus Christ allowed us to have our sins washed away and formed a new covenant with GOD.

For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. Hebrews 10:14

In order for us to truly step into the promise of GOD. We have to search GOD with all our hearts. When you do, you will realize the POWER in the name of JESUS.

The Lord’s Prayer is insight into who you are. Into the Grace of GOD.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

You are in right standing with GOD. YOU are right with God through Jesus Christ. Through the BLOOD of the Lamb.

I know what you’re asking yourself, what does this have to do with healing? Everything.

Each person Jesus had Healed in the Bible had faith. The woman who only touched His cloak, even the man who picked up the mat. Somewhere there was faith, there was hope. Jesus shows us that He is the light of the world, He is that HOPE and He is whom we should place our faith in.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29

One thing’s for certain God does not lie. In this we have hope and that hope is Jesus Christ. That Hope is LOVE.

If you do not know the LOVE God has for you, where are you in your journey? For what ever it is you may be searching for, you can find it.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, Colossians 1:15

Last week we were going over the Lord’s Prayer. It’s how Jesus had taught us how to pray and I believe it is an important factor when asking for healing, or anything actually. He teaches us how to boldly approach the throne and who God is to us. Our FATHER. Holy is His name.

Hollow – honor as holy.

A name in the bible is incredibly important and I believe when we say the second phrase of the prayer is also acknowledging and honoring God as HOLY.

Jesus Christ makes a bold statement, saying that the Kingdom of Heaven is within us. Meaning within reach and it is not something we can receive in this physical world but the spiritual.

When God’s Kingdom is within us, Truly God’s will is established as well.

When Jesus says “On earth as it is in heaven” what comes to my mind is that God wants us to remain in His Love, Peace and Joy.

Give us today our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from the evil one. Matthew 6:12-13

Give us today our daily bread – In the bible Jesus tells us not to worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will have it’s own troubles. He also refers to Himself as the Bread of life.

This quote is important because it refers to GOD being our source of life, and calling out to Him to feed us. (It also reminds me of Moses and manna raining down, but that’s for another session 🙂 .)

And forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors – I not only believe this to be us asking for forgiveness but also to acknowledge that we need forgiveness and we are not perfect that we indeed are sinners. In this we are also faced with the reality in what we ask, questioning ourselves in who we are. Allowing ourselves to be transformed in how we treat others and also how do we forgive? If you are God fearing this allows you to enter into change. We are not to different from one another this too has to be acknowledged. If you truly mediate on this prayer you will find yourself thinking about many things including “Whom do I need to forgive.” This prayer cleans the mind and allows us to know who we are in God’s sight, acknowledge that we need God, forgiveness and mercy.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. – I believe this phrase allows us to trust in God for His Guidance and His protection from the evil one. Knowing that “the evil one” has no authority in our lives. We have been delivered by the blood of Jesus Christ.

This Prayer is so powerful. But what I would like to also point out that it builds FAITH!

When wanting anything, when asking God for anything, this Prayer allows your mind and heart to be opened when done the right way. Not paraphrasing nor going through it speedily, but by going through each sentence knowing you are speaking directly to God, understanding the words you are saying and allowing for Jesus to enter your heart.

The closest thing I can compare this prayer to is Church. We prepare our hearts with worship and then we receive God’s word. In this case we prepare our minds and heart to ask for what ever it is we are wanting including Healing opening up the channels to receive God’s whispers and God’s sovereignty over our lives.

Next week I will be “putting it in a nutshell”

Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits–who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, Psalms 103:2-3

Sometimes it’s not about praise, it’s not about worship, nor how many of God’s Word you have read this week.

Sometimes it’s about being Obedient to the beautiful promptings of the Holy Spirit.

You see, It’s not for HIM that He Prompts us, but for our own Good. To give us certain gifts and promises.

This week I go into healing because that has been God’s prompting on my Spirit.

Before I begin…

…I just want to say that I’ve been sick for the last couple of weeks and before I was sick God had placed a prompting on me to study Healing. God has not ever prompted me before on studying anything and now He has urged me to study Healing. I have put it off until I myself  became sick. But GOD knows what HE does and what HE allows and I’m thankful that He hasn’t taken His hands off me and that I’m loved by HIM! I know GOD is doing something great, within me and around me and I know that I will be healed in the name of Jesus and that I’ve learned a great lesson. LISTEN to GOD and do what HE says ASAP! I believe in a way He’s doing a Jonah in my life. I’m thankful that Our God is a GOD of mercy & I know, I will be healed in Jesus Name.

Once I became sick, I noticed that, I for one was reaching out in all the wrong places. I noticed once I took my attention off the secular World and entered GOD’s Kingdom which is in the midst of Him, I was automatically set at peace. God truly gives you a peace that surpasses all understanding and it’s a great feeling that you can recline in that peace no matter what you may be going through.

“How great you are, Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears. 2 Samuel 7:22

This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.” Matthew 8:17

One of my favorite books in the bible is the Book of John. It explains with eloquent detail of who JESUS CHRIST is.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. John 1:1-3

I have to start with this verse because when we look at healing, I believe we have to look towards JESUS.

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God– children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. John 1:12

This verse just shows who we are in CHRIST. It explains how we are Children of the most High GOD because of Jesus Christ and with this, comes power. You are not just an ordinary blah person. You become Royalty in God’s Kingdom.

With this revelation, I can’t help but look towards Jesus.

Jesus says.

“This, then, is how you should pray:

“ ‘Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name,

your kingdom come,

your will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:9:13)

This part of the prayer I have to Emphasize, because when we ask for anything we go to our Father in Prayer. Jesus has given us this boldness that we may ask anything. These first few lines of the prayer encompasses and acknowledges that;

1. GOD is our father

2. His Kingdom  &

3. His will

I believe it’s important that GOD may give you revelation on these 3 truths.

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” John 3:3

When we meditate on GOD’s Will. I believe it’s a moment that we give ourselves to Him and Trust in HIM, because who is to know God’s will of our lives? Hence the trusting.

Jesus then speaks about forgiveness.

When we ask for anything we also must clear our own consciousness of any weight of ill will towards anyone else for us ourselves to receive what we ask this is explained clearly in:

“But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’ is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell. Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift. 5:22-24

Remember we must worship in Spirit & in Truth.

Next week:

We’ll be taking a look at the rest of the Prayer;

Give us today our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation

but deliver us from the evil one. (Matthew 6:11-13)
