Top 5 Fab Fabrics of the Week! Storms.

Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. Psalm 107:28-30

Ahhh… The inevitable storms of life.

Storms come and go, one thing we know for certain is that we all go through them. No one has a special “get out of storm” card.

It’s through the storms of life that builds and molds us. That actually let’s us see who we really are and what we truly believe.

This is what God calls ‘The testing of our hearts’

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Psalm 139:23

I think the most beautiful thing about going through the Storm, is knowing that ALMIGHTY GOD is right there with you allowing you to go through the storm so you know when you are weak, He is made strong.

This is just a reminder that sometimes what we deem hindrances can actually be blessings indisgusie. To many times we want whats convenient and whats perfect.

Storms remind us of the ever changing weather we call our lives.

We’re not perfect and niether is our lives. God is perfect right in our imperfectness. We try so hard to keep up with the trends, with what others are or not doing with “reality” tv. When in truth we should concentrate more on our own lives and those around us.

Have you ever heard of the Perfect Storm, I’m sure you’ve seen the movie with George Clooney with a tiny boat and a massive sea.

In retrospect that’s life. We’re on this boat called FAITH. And the raging seas and storms of life seem to challenge this boat. But this boat has a Captain and a Crew.

When we’re overly concerned about how massive the wave is or the Storm that is hitting us at the moment we can get lost and be overwhelmed. We can forget those around us and be crushed by the pressure, but when we look to the one who calms the seas, who calms our hearts we are given the opportunity of just seeing how small we are compared to HOW GREAT our GOD is.

This weeks inspiration on fabrics are the Storms that seem big but actually are small compared to how AWESOME our GOD is. Stay in faith and you will see that no matter what you go through GOD’s strength always shines through. You will make it and you can do all things through Christ who gives you Strength. Don’t ever doubt the Power that GOD has and the LOVE HE has for you. He is Worthy, Faithful and will not ever leave you.

Thank you Jesus for Calming the seas. ♥

Be Blessed!

God & the City…

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.  1 John 4:7

I can’t help but meditate on the goodness of God. We all go through trials, some more difficult than others. I’ve recently began to look at these moments as ‘God is working something inside of me.’

I remember, when a situation just didn’t make any sense and I just couldn’t see past the bad, I would say “Lord, help me I can’t see the good in this, but I know all things turn out for the good for those who love God Romans 8:28″.

These days although I can’t see, I walk by faith. I used to think that the “Good” that God is doing will manifest itself in the physical. But As I become more mature in my walk in GOD, sometimes it’s not in the physical that we will see the good, but within ourselves.

Before we actually see the good in the physical it will first begin within us, in the Spirit.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Proverbs 3:5

It’s true when someone says, be kind, we are all going through a tough battle. Life may seem unfair at times but to be honest I Hold on to Jesus Christ. If I didn’t I don’t know where I’d be. Honestly.

Last week I met up with a friend who has a beautiful growing lil baby girl, I believe shes 8 months, and going through the screaming phase, which quite honestly really isn’t that bad, and we decided to fellowship over a cup of coffee. we went to Starbucks.

Let me tell you, we were not received with open arms sadly. 😦 I don’t understand what goes through people’s minds when they see parents out and about with their child. I believe they should be applauded. Seriously! People should just have confetti and awesomeness in their pockets to throw up in the air in celebration that these parents finally made it out the house, with a side of handshake and a pat on the back. I’m just sayin!

Do you know how long it takes to prepare a child baby to go out? The load one must bare called a “diaper” bag! It’s like, extremely heavy.

I used to wonder how a mother can carry her baby like its nothing with one arm, all day long. This mystery no longer eludes me, but I digress.

The thing is, my point is, what I’m trying to say is, why are people so mean? Wait let me stop, let’s be real here why are women unfriendly to one another?

At the coffee shop the mean looks were mostly from women, if not all from them. The men at the cafe actually acted like it didn’t phase them. And a few complimented my friend on how adorable her little girl was.

Only by the grace of Almighty God did we smile and just continued to talk on the goodness of God and the wonderful blessings He’s doing in our lives. One thing I have learned is to pick your battles and this was not a battle that would of represented Christ well, if we decided to make a scene, complain or directly speak with these women. Unless it was a sincere “God bless you.” Added with a smile.

If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you. Proverbs 25:21-22

Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. Psalm 62:2

So, that being said I’d like to add that we have to be lights in this darkness. Believing that in loving one another is the greatest weapon we have against the enemy. That Prayer is a way we can break these strong holds. Although they may not know what they do, it is through our love and prayer that people in the dark can be reached by the light.

The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous. Proverbs 15:29

On that note, pray for me also, tomorrow is my 6 week appointment, and if you have been keeping up with my journey, I haven’t had any Chills or fever since the last and I pray to Almighty God that I am healed in Jesus name. Pray for me ya’ll!!!

I’m a great believer in prayer. I have seen God move mountains because of prayer!

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
