God and the City…Friends. Need I say more?

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17

I’m so blessed to cross paths with such amazing and unique people it’s incredible! Thank you Jesus.

Some people say, “There’s no such thing as a friend” I don’t know what your definition may be of a friend but I love what Jesus says:

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:15

We all have flaws, and we all fall down from time to time. One thing that I do know that sometimes GOD picks us up in those moments and it maybe through a person or a friend

I Love the people GOD has placed in my life and I value you all ♥ I love learning about each persons uniqueness and appreciate how wonderful you are and how you accept me for me and I accept you for you ♥ Beautiful

Never abandon a friend–either yours or your father’s. When disaster strikes, you won’t have to ask your brother for assistance. It’s better to go to a neighbor than to a brother who lives far away. Proverbs 27:10

Friends, can encourage, can lift you up, they are GOD’s Gift.

I was not only blessed by a hug, but also some FABRIC! From the Ladies at Empty Spools a; Sewing, Knitting, Crocheting  All things crafty and fabric Group, I try to attend each week ♥ They are so amazing and Wonderful! And one of my cool friends from this group met up with me and allowed me to Try on Her Awesome Hat!
I loved Her Face in this Pic!

My Friend Beth is not only Awesome under a Hat, but She is one of the most talented ladies I’ve ever known, Check out these Cool Pictures of Her Handmade Attire!

I love it! She designed and made them herself! I know, that’s what I was thinking, WOW.

Friends are Amazing, They are Awesome.

But I believe sometimes we may put to much pressure on our friends to be…hmmm Perfect?

But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men. John 2:24

Every time when I get tempted to unleash a burden that is only meant for GOD…for the Lord, for Jesus. I remind and say to myself this scripture. Not everything is meant to be said, we need to develop a relationship with our best friend, GOD. I suggest, before going to a friend on very private matters, pray and speak to GOD about them and wait on your answer. GOD always answers… ♥ It may be speaking to a friend you may know would understand or it may be that GOD has already solved it ♥

I, after getting blessed and inspired, went to catch up with My first Client and friend Rima! She is so Awesome, She has a baby boy, happily married and working on Her MASTERS! Can someone say, SUPER WOMAN! She currently works at a University which I think is soooo AWESOME! (Note to self: I got to ask her for a tour of where she works.)

We caught Launch with some tea…She’s made me a tea lover!
This dish is actually served Cold, but we asked them to warm it up and it was DELICIOUS! Especially the SAUCE!

We latter went to the mall…Check these OUT!!!
Found these at Kirk Land and they are actually quite affordable!

I’m going to pin them and pitch them to the Design Crew over at my Church! Did you know I was asked to JOIN!!! Not because they seen my Website or knew of my skillies, but because of the Cute Invites Jessica and I had made…Jessica made most of them but Hey…I helped! Exciting Times! That was sooo AWESOME! God brings you the right People into your life at the most incredible TIMES the Perfect TIME!! (hmm, maybe I should of been discreet about that? NAH! 😀 )
It all started the other night, 2 nights ago when a friend invited me to Zumba…

I’m so encouraged, Uplifted and I feel so Blessed & Loved because I know that was GOD just bringing me all I need ♥ Truly living Abundantly ♥

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

I believe discretion is important.

A good man shows favor, and lends: he will guide his affairs with discretion. Psalm 112:5

Sometimes I’m PERFECT  J/k at times I do….lack discretion because I would like an immediate Answer, but I know every problem, or situation GOD wants me to Go towards HIM first, for His Guidance, Wisdom and Righteousness…

So next time you feel a need to spill the beans about how you feel or advice for your situation…Cast your cares on to Jesus. HE’S the best!

Imagine, you are also preventing Gossip ♥

My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: Proverbs 3:21

Hallelujah Praise GOD! I want to introduce a wonderful sister in Christ who has an amazing voice and an amazing heart.

Today we are interviewing a wonderful woman in Christ using her wonderful talents to Glorify our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST! Amen! She is part of the Worship team with the Latin Ministries at NEW HOPE CHURCH located in DURHAM, NC. (My Church!)

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Here’s Her Story,

I started singing when I was 5 years old. Fell in love with it. It was the only thing I wanted to do. Through out elementary, middle and high school I sang my little heart out. One day when I was 15 I got invited to sing in a gospel choir. Boy oh boy did that open up my eyes. I was blown away by the power it had over people. All I wanted to do was sing gospel music. In high school I was offered a gig with a radio station to do some songs at some festivals and get paid, but something in my heart said I wasn’t ready and I turned them down. Not long there after I met someone and we ended up moving in together and having 2 beautiful boys. We started going to church and again I wanted to sing. But unfortunately I wasn’t allowed because I was not married. I couldn’t even become a member. I prayed for years that one day I might be able to sing in church because singing for money was no where near on my mind. Singing for the Lord was what I really wanted.

January 22, 2011 I moved to NC. A few weeks after I saw on t.v. a service at Newhope Church and I was absolutely blown away by the word and the music. That very weekend I visited the church and have not left since. I tried to try out for the worship band, and for some reason I kept missing the practices. Finally I gave up and said ” I guess I wasn’t meant to sing in church”. Little to my surprise in October of 2011 I met Pastor Johel and Sara Rodriguez, because my mom and step dad were going to be renewing their vows and they wanted me to sing at their ceremony. So I met Sara at her house along with the Pastor and I sand for them the song my mom wanted me to sing for her. And at that moment I heard 2 words, “YOU’RE HIRED!”. From that point on I was now part of the Latino Ministry at Newhope Church in Durham, doing what I had prayed for, for YEARS! I was finally happy.

God always answers our prayers, and for years I asked him to allow me to sing and thought he wasn’t listening to me. But, He was. He heard all my prayers and knew all my secrets and all my fears and He wanted me to be strong and able to worship Him in all honesty. I am free. I get to do what I love and praise God at the same time. And perhaps at the same time, help to save lives through my
gift and get them to accept Jesus Christ at their Lord and savior.

Milly C.

That’s so amazing Milly & very encouraging. ♥

What’s your favorite scripture?

I don’t have a favorite scripture, I am still trying to learn how to read the bible and understand it.

What is a scripture that you turn to when things are not going as planned?

I usually just pray and then open up the bible to where ever it opens up to.

Before performing what do you do to get ready? Do you have a routine or do you just go with the flow?

I always, always, always have a hot tea with honey and pepermint. Then pray and go with the flow.

Have you written any songs? And if so how many?

I have written many songs but only ONE christian song.

Do you have any Pets?

No pets…Bad allergies.

I know you are a wonderful mother and a loving wife, what has been challenging and what do you Praise God for in these roles?

It’s been challenging, raising 2 boys alone, even though I’m married now, it’s very difficult being away from one another. But I thank GOD everyday for what I have, knowing there are others less fortunate.

What is the greatest impact that GOD has done or placed in your life other than music, your children, and your marriage?

He removed me from a life of partying and hanging out, and brought me to NC where He somehow placed me right where I needed to be and allowed me to continue to grow spiritually and help others at the same time.

What would you like to tell those on that difficult road who may be reading this article?

You’re never too damaged to be used by God… He wants all of you and every imperfection that comes along so that he can restore you and give you eternal life in His kingdom.

How do you believe you are making a difference?

I don’t know if I’m making a difference, but I do believe the gift God has given me helps others to worship.
