You gotta be willing to lose, to win.

Jesus was willing to lose in order to win.

Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it Matthew 10:39

You have to be willing to lose to win.

I didn’t understand this verse at first glance but this has been the verse that God has put on my heart and I now know what it implies.

In life in order for us to truly be able to have something truly, be it a relationship be it a business or any dream or aspirations. Some form or another we have to be willing to lose in order to gain.

You see what usually holds a person back from accomplishing their success or obtaining their reward is the fear of loss. The fear of losing because sometimes you have to lose, but only for a moment to actually win.

I know it doesn’t make any sense when you think about it in a worldly sense.

“Because if you aint first your last!”  Hahaha Just Kidding (If you know who Ricky Bobby is then you shall understand that quote. But I digress)

Have you ever heard the quote:

“If you love something let it go & if it comes back then it’s yours”

In Life you’re going to face setbacks, you’re going to face difficulties that you, yourself may believe that you can’t. That you can’t take it, that you can’t handle it.

Take a look at Jesus and when His hour had come. Before He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities and confronted with what was to come, He prayed earnestly for the cup to pass from Him.

But HE was willing to Lose.

I love How Jesus says,

No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” John 10:18

I chose these fabrics because they are from the Lost  & Found Collection of Riley Blake. I thought they were beautiful and fitting for this message and the inspiration I have received this week.

Sometimes you can face fear, you can be afraid of whats to come. But it’s part of the process it’s something you have to go through.

In John 10:17 it says, “Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

Jesus never asks us to do anything that He Himself hasn’t already done. He is truly the example of how we should live our lives.

We can not forget that we are made in His Image. He felt emotions, Anger, Sadness, Temptation, including grief and perhaps fear? I imagine He also laughed.

But because we feel these things doesn’t mean that anything is wrong. In fact it means you are alive. These emotions are indicators of what’s going on in our lives. In order to win, sometimes you gotta take the loss. Sometimes you have to pick up your cross go through the fire, the ridicule “Oh you’ll never amount to anything” or the “You can’t do that your too ‘weak’ your to'(Fill in the blank) ” But if you go through the testing of your heart, you will find a reward there.

Jesus rose up on the third Day. Your Day is just around the corner.

Until Next Time! Ciao!

Hosanna in the Highest!!!

For His Love & Glory,
