Top 5 Fab Fabrics of the Week! Storms.

Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. Psalm 107:28-30

 photo il_570xN485874993_71gh_zps338c9e57.jpg

Ahhh… The inevitable storms of life.

Storms come and go, one thing we know for certain is that we all go through them. No one has a special “get out of storm” card.

It’s through the storms of life that builds and molds us. That actually let’s us see who we really are and what we truly believe.

This is what God calls ‘The testing of our hearts’

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Psalm 139:23

I think the most beautiful thing about going through the Storm, is knowing that ALMIGHTY GOD is right there with you allowing you to go through the storm so you know when you are weak, He is made strong.

 photo il_570xN496527819_ig09_zpsb93e3711.jpg

This is just a reminder that sometimes what we deem hindrances can actually be blessings indisgusie. To many times we want whats convenient and whats perfect.

Storms remind us of the ever changing weather we call our lives.

 photo il_570xN510707862_orib_zpsb27d2a71.jpg

We’re not perfect and niether is our lives. God is perfect right in our imperfectness. We try so hard to keep up with the trends, with what others are or not doing with “reality” tv. When in truth we should concentrate more on our own lives and those around us.

 photo il_570xN312529301_zpseedf7049.jpg

Have you ever heard of the Perfect Storm, I’m sure you’ve seen the movie with George Clooney with a tiny boat and a massive sea.

In retrospect that’s life. We’re on this boat called FAITH. And the raging seas and storms of life seem to challenge this boat. But this boat has a Captain and a Crew.

When we’re overly concerned about how massive the wave is or the Storm that is hitting us at the moment we can get lost and be overwhelmed. We can forget those around us and be crushed by the pressure, but when we look to the one who calms the seas, who calms our hearts we are given the opportunity of just seeing how small we are compared to HOW GREAT our GOD is.

 photo il_570xN557656189_jpja_zpsa38e6ce0.jpg

This weeks inspiration on fabrics are the Storms that seem big but actually are small compared to how AWESOME our GOD is. Stay in faith and you will see that no matter what you go through GOD’s strength always shines through. You will make it and you can do all things through Christ who gives you Strength. Don’t ever doubt the Power that GOD has and the LOVE HE has for you. He is Worthy, Faithful and will not ever leave you.

Thank you Jesus for Calming the seas. ♥

Be Blessed!

God & the City… ReBranding!? Wha!

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

 photo 075c4743-cfd2-42a1-b344-422847e3fa40_zpsb2871370.jpg

First and foremost I just gotta Praise HIM!!!!

HALLELUJAH!

Thank you JESUS!!

YUP. Yes. Certainly. Why Not?

Is what I am saying to re-branding my current company,  Natural True Beauty where I specialize in doing custom handbags for the discerning customer.

 photo 44417_539211402788866_1339609953_n_zps819713e0.jpg

I feel as though God test’s us. In many ways I feel as though Natural True Beauty LLC was God’s test to me.

Ever since I had decided on what name I would re-brand Natural True Beauty as everything, and I mean everything just made sense and clicked into place. Not only is it going to be a smooth transition, but I truly feel down in my Spirit that this is it.

I found…me.

If that makes any sense. Which it will once I reveal the name.
 photo 26551922-6b04-4039-a499-3b7e280be435_zps831ea35e.jpg
Yes, it’s truly me, haha. I’ve noticed that I have changed sooo much. From a single girl, to a happily married mom.

In these last few weeks I have been really calling out to God asking Him what and who does He want me to be. For so long I have been trying to hold on to this image of who I thought I was.

But once Emanuel, my son, came into my life I totally and completely have changed.

I’m not going to bore you with some sob story of how I decided.

But to be perfectly Honest I have been asking GOD for some time about Natural True Beauty and if I should just give up, I’ve been praying and calling out to Him because quite frankly, I began feeling very uninspired. I couldn’t see.

Don’t get me wrong I’ve been thinking about using my Name for quite some time now. It wasn’t until recently for the first time when looking down at my son I began thinking, ‘he’s just him. He doesn’t really care about what you think of him, he doesn’t really care about what other babies are doing or wearing. He doesn’t care that mami & daddy are very tired and he just wants to stay up, no no no, nor how loud he is (he’s very talkative by the way. He likes to voice his opinions). He just does him.‘ It hit me, I have to throw away the old mentality and embrace what God is trying to show me through where I’m currently at and where I’m going.

Once I totally committed to the re-brand,  everything just clicked. I was given a new passion a new vision and most definitely something I thrive on, the creativity that always lets me know that GOD is with me.

I’M BLESSED!!!

photo IMG_81101_zps08ebf7cf.jpgThis was at a local coffee shop called (Grounds: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Grounds/216329521855172)

I can’t help but be immeasurably thankful! It’s like I hit a wall and I broke through it.

Lately I have been asking my self, who am I, when in truth I should be asking GOD, and once I just waited on the LORD, and moved with his promptings GOD has opened New Doors and a New Year! That I can finally say, YES!

Yes to my blessings, yes to my dreams and yes to my family.

Being a woman is hard work, imagine being a woman on top of being a wife and add being a mom, oh yea and times that by hand-making bags and running my own online business. Time is precious, it’s priceless and it slips by so quickly.

So to save on time I had to throw away my old mentality, that I had to confront because let’s face it, the truth sets us free.

The Old mentality that I thought I could separate the Natural True Beauty from Linda Mendible, keeping up with all accounts etc. trying to “keep up with the Jones” trying hard to be “professh”. It’s just so easy and simple to have my Twitter, pinterest, instagram, etc all under my name. And I just don’t want to project one image and then a whole other image keeping it all the same but different? It just didn’t make sense anymore and I decided that I’m going to do me.

I had to throw away the old Linda and become Linda Mendible. Meaning I had to be true to me at all times. Time is very important to me, stressing about what I’m pining, what I’m posting and what I’m “marketing” logging out from one account to login to another, is to much time wasted. This way I can definitely just be Linda Mendible, I can just be me, and who ever doesn’t like it can bite me, j/k can suck a lemon pop. ha ha.  All jokes aside I finally got my peace, love and everything I need in Christ.

Honey, once I did this I was overcome with peace and empowered! To God be the Glory!!

It’s not easy going through the different seasons that life seems to take us through, but when we confront ourselves asking for the guidance of God, we begin to come out of our cocoons. Natural True Beauty for me was just a shell, a cocoon of what Linda Mendible is going to come out of and soar.

I believe it & I receive it, in Jesus name!

I was so afraid, so so afraid of the judgement of others and what others may think of me and what I’m doing that I fell into a wilderness that I was not at peace and my creativity was stifled. Now, with the guidance of Jesus I saw my fear. And I saw my son, how fearless he was, how unashamed he was to express himself not caring what ‘society’ deems appropriate or cute or even baby like. Haha. So yea I’m letting it all Go because I saw how it was weighing me down.

And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3

In truth I’m going to do me. What ever happens happens, but I will make sure to stay in Gods peace and grace because it’s the only way I want to live. Its the only way I can live.

Hosanna in the Highest!!!

It was a full house ya!

 photo DSCF1638_zps0c6cf358.jpg

It wasn’t until 2:30 in the morning feeling over whelmed with business, home life and thinking of my precious gift from God (my currently 3month baby boy) that I received revelation and God gave me peace.

After throwing myself in His precious alter of grace, clutching my bible and sincerely begging Jesus to help me the same words that I had given my anxious friend, God had given to me.

When Jesus speaks of being perfect, He doesn’t mean by our own works. When we accept Jesus into our hearts, God doesn’t see our sin, He sees His son JESUS, perfect and blameless. We have Christ within us. We become a new creation!

It dawn to me, what exactly is picking up the cross? And what did Jesus mean with “willing to lose his life

Another verse that God had graciously given to me was “we will reap a harvest if we faint not.

Those words I have been repeating to myself daily because to be honest it has been hard.

Not only was I overwhelmed with my first fashion show, which God had given me His amazing Grace to do and complete, Not only was I able to go to see Hillsong live (which is so awesome and incredible) with amazing Ladies in Christ. I also was hit with having to do a re-shoot because one of the photographers equipment had sadly been stolen. After thinking I can rest a bit. O_O

photo DSCF1677_zps6c3ed68a.jpgIt was a blessing in disguise to meet these beautiful ladies of Roguemark photography

photo DSCF1695_zps29b1c4ff.jpgWhich I met them in downtown Raleigh at a cool Coffee spot.

photo DSCF1692_zps1e2bc522.jpgThere were so many creative individuals in this one place it was redonkulous. Serious. I saw the director of CAM among others. Crazy, crazy creative.

 photo DSCF1689_zps355d2e86.jpg

 photo DSCF1690_zpsac069af2.jpg

 photo DSCF1688_zpsc780507b.jpg

I had a mini conversation with God.
I asked Him. “Lord, I have heard it said that you can either work in the flesh or in the spirit, I’m tired and overwhelm, does this mean that I’m working in the flesh?”

Then God had given to me this verse “you shall reap if you faint not” and with it it’s revelation.

This verse wasn’t put together for those who are rested. It was put together for those specifically who are tired as a reminder that if they do not give in they shall reap a reward.

It was almost as if God was saying to me it’s not going to be easy and you are going to have moments that you want to give up that’s why it is written the way it is because any one doing work will feel like giving up and it’s just a reminder not to.

Then I was rejuvenated by His love and how He just brings everything into perspective or should I say a different perspective.

Sometimes we can get to caught up in being in the situation and the pain. Losing sight of the truth and why we’re doing what we’re doing.

It’s all for His Glory, and yes you are going to feel days that you want to give up that you think you can’t go on. But remember you will reap a reward if you faint not.

Until Next Time! Ciao!

Give me Faith

Top 5 Fab Fabrics of the week! Eco?

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17

 photo DSCF1233_zpsed2d45e3.jpg

Hallelujah Praise GOD thank you JESUS!!!

God is so amazing and I just want to say that He surely makes old things New! These fabrics are a representation on how God can transform us and create something new within us. photo 2012-07-14140238_zps38a11078.jpg He takes what we once were. With our problems, mindset and troubles, renewing us in a way that we can only describe as the grace of GOD. I’ve never been more alive than now and I’m thankful.

 photo DSCF0786_zps8dcdcaef.jpg

A prayer that I say when going through difficult times or when I’ve made a mistake is “Lord, some how make my wrongs right.” Basically, I don’t want the mistake to be in vain, I want God to take those mistakes, those “ashes” and make something new from them. So I let go and I give it to Jesus.

 photo DSCF0785_zps8965a588.jpg

These fabrics are from my fall collection. I’ve been working on this collection for a while now. I’ve learned so much through the making and piecing and how GOD knows the final result.

 photo IMG_5375_zpsa83ac476.jpg

Sometimes we can’t see past our circumstances. Past our mistakes. I’ve noticed when creating this collection, through my mistakes, if I remained calm, not giving in to the temptation of worrying about the mistake I made and the effect it has done. Just letting go and allow GOD to guide me. I usually am guided into making something a lot more beautiful and creative than I originally had planned!

 photo IMG_5453_zps7f05c261.jpg

I choose this picture as the 5th fabric because it’s the finish result of my collection all mixed together. We may not see how God is transforming us. Sometimes we can’t see the Good in certain situations that are hurtful, stressful and can really shake our faith.

During some of these times we even make mistakes and wonder, “have a fallen out of God’s will?

The truth is you can not ever fall out of God’s will. It says in the bible,

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. John 10:28

When we dedicate our life to Jesus, when we give our hearts to Christ right then and there the heavens are rejoicing and your name was transformed to the book of life. Many times we make mistakes, even during our walk with GOD. These are often called “sin” meaning “missing the mark” but one thing we can stand firm on, is that “sin” no longer has a hold of us. We are free from it. Condemnation does not come form GOD. Conviction does. Conviction is an acknowledgement that you have done something wrong and it is needed for us to see the truth.

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

Condemnation is actually remaining in that sin. Not allowing God’s grace to work and transform you.

We all have burdens to bear in this life. The bible refers to it as a yoke. A yoke was actually used back in the day when they would use an animal to plow the ground. To make way for the seeds to grow the harvest. This plowing was a heavy load, a burden, on the necks of these animals.

Jesus has taken your yoke.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29

And He’s given you His in exchange for yours.

Rest in the thought that GOD loves you and you don’t surprise Him. He didn’t wash away your past sins, He washed it all away. You are RIGHT with GOD. Don’t ever forget. ♥

Until Next time!

Top 5 Fab Fabrics of the Week! Linear, GOD says GO!

A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. Proverbs 16:9

The LORD directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way? Proverbs 20:24

 photo success-really-looks-like_zpseb545808.jpg

Phew! Has this been an eventful week for me or what! With a new baby, gearing up for the fashion show and taking in new clients Life is a BLESSING! HALLELUJAH! Truly a Joy!

Today is my Hubby’s and I Anniversary! Amen! 3years Married. I know for some 3 years is sooo short. But to be honest in 3 years you either have a horrible marriage or one blessed by the Most High! JESUS!

And to tell you all the truth We are immeasurably Blessed. Jesus continues to be in the center of our Hearts, Lives and Marriage.

This week I’ve decided on these Linear Fabrics as a reminder that Life is filled with ups and downs. Sometimes we may think it’s a straight shot to where ever we may think we are going and then are surprised at the detours God may give us.

 photo Colorfulstripe_zps75e965c0.jpg

I’m truly thankful for the goodness of the Lord. How He doesn’t give us what we want usually, but what we are in most desperate need for.

I believe are ups and downs are given to us because they are what we need. They are truly a gift and are exactly what we need to have a heart that is right with GOD. Another reason why I am a God fearing woman!

 photo GreyChevron_zpsaef3a56d.jpg

They say it’s not the destination it’s the journey. I’d say it’s both.

I’m reminded of when GOD told Abraham Go. He didn’t even know where He was going! God didn’t only tell Abraham to go to some random place, He also tested Abraham’s resolve by asking him to leave his safety net, to leave the place where he may have been most secure in, which was with his family.

 photo il_570xN493143111_1v32_zpsdedff4d7.jpg

Because of Abraham’s bold faith and how he left only having faith on the one who was leading him. God showed him many wondrous things and also communed with him. Abraham had faith in God.

I guess that’s how we should approach our dreams. Our dreams are in an essence a “Go” from God. We may not know exactly where we are headed to, but He surely directs our steps

 photo House_zpsa1312f67.jpg

What is God telling you to do? Where is He pushing you out of and pulling you towards?

Many times we get stuck in our “secure” places where we are most comfortable at. Little do we know that if we remain in these areas we become stagnant. Have you ever been to a pond that is just stinky? Well it’s called stagnant water. No bueno, is all I can say.

 photo linestouching_zpsd661878f.jpg

It is when we are in a place where the current is always changing and where we are challenged that God brings out the best in us. That we become more alive and exhilarated by the many aspects and experiences that this life has to offer. God doesn’t want you stuck in one place. He wants to take you on an adventure and show you His wonders.

The wilderness is usually where you see the Glory of God manifest. Go out and camp out with GOD! He’ll take you under His wings, show you the starry sky and bless you beyond wonders. The question is…Are you faithful?

Until Next Time! Ciao!
